Host of the Heart and Hand podcast David Edgar anticipates that rumours about Dave King perhaps joining the Rangers again will persist for some time.
Edgar has also acknowledged that he may have the chance to talk to King in the future about his true intentions with the Ibrox outfit.
In a message to the Daily Record on September 19, King pushed the Ibrox outfit’s board to allow the supporters choose the club’s manager.
Edgar stated about X: “He’s always welcome, but it’s fair that he has places he prefers to go.”
“It seems like it will continue for a while, so perhaps later.”
Dave King needs to do unscripted interviews and interact with Rangers supporters.
King must conduct unscripted interviews and engage with fans if he is sincere in improving the club’s circumstances.
It allows him to clearly communicate his goals and ideas without being swayed by media spin or boardroom politics, which promotes transparency that is frequently absent from business communications.
Direct communication like this helps regain the trust of supporters who don’t feel included in the club’s decision-making.
Since the club’s management has made a number of poor judgements in recent years, unscripted talks may highlight underlying problems that scripted content might miss.
There is no doubt that some fans would be happy to see him back, but there are just as many who wouldn’t care for it at all.
Though how things end up remains to be seen, it does not appear that this will be resolved anytime soon.
