This weekend, Sunderland will play Middlesbrough in the Championship.
The Stadium of Light should be “bouncing” come Saturday afternoon when Championship rivals Middlesbrough visit Wearside, according to Sunderland forward Wilson Isidor.
Although the Frenchman hasn’t made his full debut for the Black Cats yet, he has appeared twice for Regis Le Bris’ squad off the bench. Since moving to the North East from Zenit St. Petersburg last month, the player appears to have settled into his new surroundings.
Isidor has, in fact, previously participated in several interviews in the vicinity of Sunderland, including one at a fan Q&A session earlier this week. Following the forum, the 24-year-old took to social media and posted: “It was lovely to meet everyone in person and have a great time! I’m excited for Saturday’s game; let’s make the Stadium of Light come alive.
During the week, Isidor made good use of his platform to praise Sunderland’s supporters. When asked what he liked best about his new surroundings, he replied, “The fans.” The club’s past. The arena. A number of aspects about the club appeal to us all. The jersey’s hue is equally stunning. It is the largest club in England’s North East.
In addition, the attacker said of head coach Regis Le Bris, “He is a really good coach,” with reservation. He doesn’t have to say a lot to get his points across. It doesn’t take him two times to express something for you to grasp. We all think his thoughts are fantastic and agree with each other. He is an excellent coach.
In another passage, Isidor praised Luke O’Nien, a mainstay of the Black Cats, for his contributions on and off the pitch, stating: “We have a lot of talent in the team.” Luke O’Nien was someone who had an early influence on me. The guy seems to be obsessed with the club. He is deeply engaged in all aspects of the group’s activities both on and off the pitch. He is an extremely powerful leader. I was most affected by his quality when I first arrived at the club.
