Done Deal: Rangers sensation seals out-of-window move to join British club on loan
Rangers defender Connor Allan has agreed to join Kelty Hearts on a season-long loan, the team announced on their official website.
On September 20, Gers said that the 20-year-old will play for the Scottish League One team for the remainder of the season.
The centre-back, who can also play in midfield, left to obtain first-team experience despite the transfer window shutting.
Rangers’ choice to loan out Connor Allan was the right one.
Gers made a wise choice in letting Allan join a lower-division squad and log significant first-team time.
He could have stayed at Ibrox and played for the B team, but a player’s preparation changes when they join a new team and experience senior football.
Ideally, he receives consistent playing time and rejoins the squad a more polished player prepared to make the cut for the starting lineup.
Given his age of 20, he may have one or two more loan stints before his future needs to be decided.
This one could be the most important one, and if he performs well, he might potentially make the preseason roster the following summer.
The club will now extend its best wishes to him and will monitor his progress over the next few months.
