League Express exclusively disclosed that Super League teams have made offers to Gold Coast Titans forward Joe Stimson.
The 28-year-old has not received a new contract offer from the Titans, so he is currently without a club for 2025. Nonetheless, Stimson has played in more than 100 NRL games.
Prior to the 2023 season, he began his career with the Melbourne Storm before moving on to the Canterbury Bulldogs and then the Gold Coast.
Joe made 52 appearances for Melbourne between 2017 and 2019, switching from the Storm to the Bulldogs in 2020.
He is the nephew of former Balmain and Wests Tigers star Mark Stimson and the son of former South Sydney Rabbitohs player Peter Stimson.
The second-rower/prop played 34 more games during his three seasons with the Bulldogs before joining the Titans in 2023. Stimson made 30 appearances in two seasons.
Given his Australian ancestry and place of birth, Stimson would undoubtedly count on the overseas quota, but there are still slots available for five Super League clubs.
These five teams are the Huddersfield Giants, Leigh Leopards, Catalans Dragons, Castleford Tigers, and St Helens.
