Keith Jackson thinks that when the cameras panned towards James Tavernier and Cyriel Dessers on the bench during Rangers’ match against Motherwell, they might have made fun of Rangers manager Philippe Clement.
After winning 2-1 at Hampden Park on November 3rd in the Scottish League Cup semi-final, the Gers will now play Celtic in the championship match on December 15th.
Jackson expressed his opinions about the discussion Dessers and Tavernier were having following their removal from the aircraft during an appearance on the Daily Record’s Hotline Live on November 4.
Jackson remarked, “Tavernier looks shot by the way, and his body language is all over the place.”
We don’t know what they were talking about, but it appeared as though Tavernier and Cyriel Dessers were sitting next to each other during the second half when the cameras panned to the bench. They appeared to be saying to the manager, “This guy doesn’t know what he’s doing.”
Philippe Clement’s tenure as Rangers manager is gradually coming to an end.
Even though Clement has been retained in his position despite the team’s losses against Celtic, Aberdeen, and Lyon this season, it seems like the Belgian’s time with the Gers could come to an end if they lose any more games.
Pundits and supporters have been speculating about the 50-year-old’s departure from Ibrox for a while, but the Belgian has managed to hold onto his position regardless of Rangers’ performance.
The supporters demand and deserve far more from their team than they have this season, notwithstanding John Gilligan’s satisfaction with what he is now witnessing.
One of the primary offenders in the Rangers team’s dismal season, Tavernier’s errors alone have probably lost the Gers a good number of points.
If things at Ibrox don’t improve and remain stable, Clement won’t be in the position when Santa leaves on his journey on Christmas Eve.
