‘We cannot count on him’ Rangers manager confirms first-team player has officially left Ibrox

Philippe Clement has confirmed the horrific degree of the Rangers loanee’s injuries, and Neraysho Kasanwirjo has returned to Feyenoord.

Since joining Rangers on a loan-to-buy from the Eredivisie team in the summer, the 22-year-old defender has made an impression.

However, Neryasho Kasanwirjo may have already played his final game for Rangers due to a terrible injury he sustained when playing for the Netherlands U21s.

This is because the right-back’s loan agreement was terminated because of a serious injury that could keep him out for up to six months.

Although the news is a cruel blow to the defence, Clement has not ruled out the player rejoining Rangers at the end of the season.

Injury blow to Neraysho Kasanwirjo

“Neraysho Kasanwirjo’s operation went well, but he will be out for at least four to six months,” Clement told the Rangers Review. Therefore, we can’t rely on him.

So, we’ll see how things turn out at the end of the season. Feyenoord and I have an agreement that he will complete his rehabilitation there as well.

However, I keep in touch with Nana, who was quite sad that he couldn’t continue his employment because he likes the club, the dressing room, and even the staff—things that don’t happen very often!

“We cannot rely on him for the next few months, but we will see how things work out with him at the end of the season.”

Rangers will search for January transfer options.

Philippe Clement’s remarks follow Neraysho Kasanwirjo’s Instagram post of a post-surgery photo.

After seeing a promising career halted by injury issues, the affable big defender thanked everyone for their support as he now tries to heal and rebuild.

In the past, Rangers boss Philippe Clement has made references to searching for a replacement for Neraysho Kasanwirjo during the January transfer window.Clement remarked last week, “It’s really hard because he was adapting to the club, to the mentality here, really well.”

It’s a huge blow for all of us since he performed well in the games and in the training sessions and was displaying the appropriate calibre for Rangers.

Nana also played centre defender, left back, and right back. You lose a player in three positions. That’s a blow, then.

“We should consider that for January as well, and we must determine which fronts we have to address it in that manner.”

The announcement also comes as Dujon Sterling gets ready to consult a “specialist” in the next few days regarding a trapped nerve.

James Tavernier returned to the Rangers lineup, and the right-back missed the team’s 1-0 victory over St Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership.

But the manager of the Gers hinted that Sterling would return to the team for Wednesday night’s match against Kilmarnock.
