Rangers boss confirms desire to sign 22-year-old again as Celtic star is slammed for ‘reckless’ moment

The main stories from Rangers and Celtic as they get ready for the January transfer window are compiled here.

Rangers manager Philippe Clement maintains that he still has ambitions to sign Neraysho Kasanwirjo permanently in the summer.

With tremendous hoopla, Kasanwirjo joined on loan from Dutch powerhouse Feyenoord during the summer, and Clement at the time said he might be a fantastic contribution to the team.

“We are thrilled to welcome Neraysho to the football club and we believe he will be a big asset to the team,” Clement said on the club website upon the 22-year-old’s arrival at Ibrox.

“With our domestic and European obligations this season, he will be a good alternative for the squad and can play in a variety of defensive positions.

“We are happy that Neraysho has chosen to join Rangers, and he is excited to begin the next chapter in his career.”

In his twelve appearances for Rangers, Kasanwirjo shown his versatility in a variety of positions, including left-back, centre-back, and right-back. However, he suffered a catastrophic knee injury during a 1-0 victory over Hearts last month, effectively ending his season.

According to Mail Sport, Clement has made the Netherlands Under-21 international a priority signing for the summer and is still eager to sign him permanently.

According to the site, Clement has been greatly impressed by Kasanwirjo’s versatility, age, and form before injury.

Kyogo is criticised by the former referee for his “reckless” tackle against Aberdeen.

Kyogo Furuhashi was extremely lucky to avoid a card following Celtic’s close 1-0 victory over title rivals Aberdeen, according to former Premiership referee Bobby Madden.

The 46-year-old drew attention to a crucial moment in the first few minutes of the intense match at Pittodrie, when the Japanese international collided with Aberdeen custodian Ross Doohan.

After the challenge, a large portion of the home fans angrily called for the striker to be sent off, but on-field referee Don Robertson chose not to do so and was not instructed to consult VAR.

Madden, who frequently shares contentious situations on Instagram, questioned his fans if the incident should have resulted in a red card, a yellow card, or no card.

“Yellow for me,” he posted. careless and disregards the opponent. The keeper is in possession, and I think there’s a chance to stay away from them.”

Reo Hatate’s late second-half goal put Celtic at the top of the league, seven points ahead of the Dons with one game remaining.
