Peter Grant has revealed Philippe Clement’s response to the contentious penalty call during Rangers’ Sunday loss to Celtic.
In the Premier Sports Cup final, the Gers lost in a penalty shootout after being denied a penalty in extra time.
Liam Scales took down Vaclav Cerny as he entered the box, and the contact continued within the area; nonetheless, referee John Beaton did not award a penalty, and VAR did not reverse his blatant and evident mistake.
“Clement, I’ve watched him, because he was right below me, never shouted penalty and he is usually first up to be jumping with his hands in the air,” Grant, a former Celtic player, said on Go Radio, claiming that the Light Blues manager did not react when the event occurred.
“Not a single one, and I believe that’s because his players never did it.”
SFA has already addressed the contentious Rangers referees.

They have not been assigned to any games in the Scottish Premiership this weekend, hence they will not be participating.
The governing body has also formally apologised to the Gers for the heinous error they made in Sunday’s match.
