Hamza Igamane dazzles Ferguson with incredible moment in Rangers v Dundee

Derek Ferguson was highly impressed by a “terrific” display of skill from Hamza Igamane during Rangers’ clash with Dundee.

Igamane featured in the starting lineup for the Gers in their 1-0 victory over Dundee at Ibrox on Saturday (21 December), with Vaclav Cerny scoring the decisive goal.

The Moroccan forward showcased his flair with several skillful moves, including a standout moment that drew praise from Ferguson on BBC Scotland Extra [21 December, 3:26pm].

“It’s another nutmeg. It’s incredible how often he draws players in,” Ferguson remarked. “It’s terrific skill and brilliant to watch. He just needs to work on his end product as well.”

Hamza Igamane: A standout signing for Rangers

Rangers’ recent signings have been a mixed bag, but Igamane clearly belongs in the success category.

Ferguson’s critique about improving his end product is valid, but with six goals and one assist across all competitions, the 22-year-old has already made a solid impact.

Igamane’s ability to produce dazzling moments, like his nutmegs, underlines his flair and value to Philippe Clement’s side. Unsurprisingly, clubs in England are rumored to be eyeing him ahead of the January transfer window.

While he missed a key opportunity in the second half against Dundee, Rangers recognize they’re developing a player with untapped potential. Based on his performances so far, Igamane promises to deliver even more goals in a Rangers jersey.
