Sunderland has acquired a much-needed striker as their second acquisition of the January transfer window. Fans may not have anticipated it, though.

Sunderland has only made one striker deal since January, therefore they have been desperately looking for another one before Monday’s deadline.

Enzo Le Fee, a talented midfielder for Roma, has joined on loan for the rest of the season. It soon became evident that the Stadium of Light’s first objective was to sign a striker.

The Black Cats have now acquired a striker, and similar to the Le Fee trade, this is another excellent acquisition. However, it doesn’t provide the much-needed depth at the top.

After making the “huge” Wilson Isidor news, Sunderland received accolades.

On Saturday, Sunderland won’t play. Wilson Isidor will play his debut game as a permanent Sunderland player after the club announced his deal when they play Middlesbrough on Monday night.

Following his stellar first half of the season on Wearside, where he scored nine goals in 26 Championship games—the most of which were extremely impressive—the Black Cats decided to extend Isidor’s loan from Zenit.

In his response to the news, journalist Michael Graham may have captured the sentiments of the great majority of Sunderland supporters following Isidor’s permanent signing.

How much Wilson Isidor is being paid by Sunderland

A deal that lasts until the summer of 2028 is signed by the 24-year-old. This player has a longer-term contract with Sunderland and has the potential to earn £20 million in a few seasons.

He possesses the fundamental traits of a striker with enormous potential. Additionally, Sunderland has made a significant investment in the Frenchman; according to sources from last summer, they had the option to purchase Isidor for £3.5 million.

Although it was the stated fee in advance, it has not been verified that Sunderland has actually paid that much. However, with Isidor and Eliezer Mayenda as their only true options up top, Speakman and Regis Le Bris undoubtedly want another striker.
