Green Brigade Release Brilliant Statement Ahead of Kilmarnock Clash

The Green Brigade has announced a new community initiative in advance of Saturday’s Premiership match against Kilmarnock, inviting Celtic fans to contribute to an Easter Egg collection for local children and to support the Glasgow Children’s Hospital charity. In a post shared on their North Curve X account, the group encouraged supporters to bring Easter Eggs and arts and crafts supplies to Area 111 outside Celtic Park before the game.

“This year, we’re collecting Easter Eggs for children at local food banks to enjoy,” the statement said. “Additionally, we will gather arts and crafts supplies for the Glasgow Children’s Hospital charity. Contributions can be left at Area 111, and cash donations are also welcome and appreciated. Thank you for your generosity.”

The safe standing section has been a lively and impactful part of the matchday atmosphere at Celtic Park, often influencing the tone both vocally and visually. Their commitment to supporting local communities off the pitch has earned them admiration and become an integral part of their identity. Given that Celtic was founded on charitable principles, it’s heartening to see fans honoring those roots.

Saturday’s match could also be pivotal in Celtic’s title chase, depending on the outcome of Rangers’ game against Aberdeen the following day. Celtic is currently six points away from clinching the league, with six matches remaining. A victory on Saturday, coupled with Aberdeen aiding Celtic’s cause by winning against Rangers on Sunday, would see Celtic crowned Champions. Meanwhile, fans are once again being encouraged to express their support in a different manner by bringing happiness to children across Glasgow this Easter.
