Goncalo Guedes has left Wolves’ pre-season camp in Spain to complete a move to Real Sociedad
Wolves’ roster for their match against Girona, which kicks off at the Estadi Montilivi tonight at 7 p.m. UK time, does not feature the Portuguese forward.
Guedes has been a target for Wolves for a while, and his departure will result in a considerable wage bill savings.
The team must, however, make a lot of other acquisitions this summer, and they are aggressively seeking a striker to fill a variety of spots.
Despite spending £27.5 million to sign Guedes in the summer of 2022, the 28-year-old has had a lacklustre tenure with Wolves, which has included loan stints at Benfica and Villarreal.
He left Wolves with seven goals and six assists in 51 games across all competitions, including a consolation goal against Lens in a preseason friendly last week.
Only three Premier League goals are included in that total.
