Coventry City manager Mark Robins raves about Leeds United’s squad ahead of this weekend’s match

Mark Robins has given his assessment of Leeds United’s summer roster alterations in advance of Coventry City’s visit to Elland Road.

In the Championship the previous season, Leeds only managed to defeat four opponents, including Coventry. Over the course of the two games, Daniel Farke’s team lost four points against the Sky Blues.

That is especially noteworthy in light of the fact that Georginio Rutter, Archie Grey, and Crysencio Summerville, who all began both of those games, were later sold for more than £100 million.

Leeds needed to replace that trio quickly in the summer, but they only invested a small portion of the money generated by those sales.

As Summerville’s successor, Largie Ramazani was essentially brought in, and Brenden Aaronson is the closest match for Rutter.

Robins renders a decision about Leeds’ transfer affairs.

Robins gave an encouraging report on Ben Sheaf’s fitness earlier today, indicating that he should make his first Championship appearance since May. Robins also gave a preview of his team’s trip to Elland Road.

His opinions about Leeds’ roster for the current season, given their success against Farke’s team the previous year, were among the other subjects they discussed.

During his pregame press conference, Robins expressed his general satisfaction with Leeds’ ability to replace their departed players.

“Even though they’ve sold some for a lot of money, they’ve replaced them pretty well,” he stated. “They have a lot of good players.”

“They’re incredibly well managed, and Daniel Farke has done an amazing job. We were really unlucky not to go up the previous season, and they will be hoping to replicate that this season.

“There’s no denying that they have excellent players. They have smart players, they want to press, and they play with great intelligence in the spaces they occupy.

“They look dangerous and have a lot of talent there, even though they’ve lost a few players.”

What Daniel Farke anticipates from Coventry’s slump

During his press conference on Thursday, Farke was questioned about Robins, who has been under some pressure this season with three losses in six games for Coventry.

It goes without saying that Farke, who was all praise for his manager colleague Coventry following their encounters last season, won’t be taking anything lightly.

“I’m completely convinced of Mark’s quality, as I consistently rank him as a top manager in this division with a tonne of experience,” the guy stated. Provides a superior answer in every season, almost without exception.

“My assessment of Coventry is based on his development of the team, which consistently flirts with Premier League promotion. They always ended in the top six or very near to the top six; they had to rebuild after losing their finest players, but they are almost always in the top six.

“I think they’re going to end lot better than they are. They lost some excellent players this summer; he makes the same mistakes and builds the team from the ground up.

“I have the utmost respect for what he does—finds another way to solve the problem—and I’m fairly certain they’ll be among the competitors who place in the top six. Their start doesn’t bother me.
