Rangers fan fury spills over with latest banner protest as club chiefs accused of ‘destroying our club’

Similar performances took place during the loss last week, but supporters are still awaiting important boardroom appointments.

One another week has passed. Rangers are facing yet another week of uncertainty at the boardroom level.

Following yet another subpar showing in Sunday’s 2-1 Premiership victory against St Mirren at Ibrox, the irate Light Blues supporters expressed their displeasure with the present situation both on and off the pitch in recent weeks.

Even though there have been further recommendations for possible new investments, club authorities have not yet appointed someone to take over the roles of chairman, CEO, and director of football.

Additionally, supporters unveiled their most recent banner display aimed at the Gers board, telling them that they are “destroying” the football team. This comes just one week after they produced a similar display lamenting the team’s “mismanagement” and claiming that those in senior positions “don’t know” how to lead the ship.

After manager Philippe Clement revealed the team’s financial situation late in the summer transfer window, the relationship between Rangers supporters and the club’s leadership has deteriorated in recent months.

The Govan team is already behind Celtic and Aberdeen in the fight for the Scottish Premiership title, and supporters are not pleased with the board’s decision to let go of several important positions without having qualified candidates in place. Additionally, Clement is under increasing pressure to perform well on the field.

And on Sunday, a derogatory sign from the Copland Road Stand, where the Union Bears currently play, stated, “Your ineptitude is destroying our club.” These elements combined to cause chaos inside Ibrox. It’s time for the supporters to demand change.

The same portion displayed a message during the second half that said, “Worrying about thousands, while wasting millions,” in reference to the club’s recent UEFA sanction for using pyrotechnics.

When asked about the Rangers supporters’ dissatisfaction following last weekend’s 1-0 loss to Kilmarnock, Clement responded, “It’s normal that they’re unhappy.” After losing this game, not a single member of the crew or player was pleased. That is therefore typical. The players treated the fans with respect, and it’s normal for the fans to express their feelings about the outcome.

The key thing is to receive the results back, after which the supporters will support you. I believe there are numerous reasons for the rage. In order to get the most out of our team, I will be concentrating on the athletic aspect.

With businessman Billy Walker recently stating that he would be happy to invest in the club to help relieve their financial woes as long as he receives a consulting role in exchange, interim chairman John Gilligan has reassured supporters that new money is on the way.
