In the capital, the Hearts loanee wants to outperform rivals.
A Hearts loanee is eager to beat Hibs back-to-back in order to gain momentum.
Following Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Hearts, David Gray’s team heads north to Ross County. The Staggies team Aidan Denholm is on loan for this season wants to get three points after defeating Kilmarnock at home last time out, while the Jambos failed to find victory in Leith.
Denholm is aware of how important the game is, and he thinks that defeating Hibs might give him and his colleagues more momentum under manager Don Cowie. “I think the boys will be full of confidence, but the gaffer told us to celebrate on the night and enjoy that winning feeling before all eyes move on to Wednesday,” the Hearts loanee told Highland News Media.
“We want to go on a little run and prove to the fans that we can win again.” The lads are excited, but our attention is now on Wednesday because it’s a big game.
“I believe we defeated Dundee for our final three points, and then we defeated St Johnstone for a point. Right now, we want to win games and go back-to-back. All eyes will be on Wednesday.
“Winning feels fantastic. Naturally, we knew we had to pay the fans back after disappointing them at St Johnstone. It was difficult; I believe I had a cramp after 70 minutes, although I consider myself to be fairly fit!
“It was very competitive for second balls between Noah Chilvers and Connor Randall in the middle.” Before the red card, we were doing the right things and creating opportunities, so even when we fell behind 1-0, I still felt like we were executing the fundamentals well and attempting to get on the ball and move forward.
“Hopefully, we delivered a performance that will delight the fans. We were certain that we could turn things around given the calibre of the changing room, but we don’t want to stop after a victory.
“The coach informed us that he wants us to go and support it with a strong showing on Wednesday, after which we will proceed to the next game.”
