‘Exceptional’ – Four Lads thrilled as Rangers handed sensation four-year deal this year
Stevie Clifford says that after offering Mason Munn a four-year deal at the age of 18, the Rangers seem confident in him.
The young goalie, who was bound by a long-term contract at Ibrox, has been praised for his talent by the host of the Four Lads Had a Dream blog and podcast.
The club declared on June 26, 2024, that the adolescent had signed a contract that would keep him with the team until 2028.
On November 21, Clifford made the following statement at 9:42 on the Rangers Review YouTube channel: “Mason Munn.” A superb young goalie. recently signed a new four-year contract at the age of 18, which we don’t offer unless we’re certain.
Mason Munn needs to feel like a member of the first team at Rangers.
The timing is right for the Gers to show their belief in Munn by giving him a bigger role in the starting lineup.
It’s obvious the club believes the young Northern Irishman has a lot of potential because he signed a four-year contract at the age of 18.
Rangers should think about including him in regular first-team training sessions to develop this talent. This would allow him to be coached and taught by Jack Butland, who is not only a skilled goalie but also an admirable leader.
Additionally, Munn would gain invaluable experience if he were given backup roles in less important games, such as cup games or when the team has guaranteed a spot in the next round.
In addition to helping him grow, this tactic would let Munn know that he is a part of the long-term strategy to eventually become the best custodian.
Although the Gers have a great academy, it’s crucial to keep such talent.
