Ruud van Nistelrooy ‘lines up first three Leicester transfers’ as reunion targeted

According to reports, Leicester’s new manager Ruud van Nistelrooy is considering three January additions, including the potential return of former Foxes star Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to the King Power Stadium.

The midfield player, who Chelsea acquired from the Foxes for a whopping £30 million only six months ago, is available on loan, according to the Mirror.

Caughtoffside has pegged Arsenal as the front-runners to land the 26-year-old star with the Blues, despite Leicester reportedly putting their best foot forward to get him back to the team.

Miguel Almiron of Newcastle United is also allegedly a target for Van Nistelrooy. According to the Sun, the Dutch icon, who lost his spot at St. James’ Park to Jacob Murphy, wants the Paraguayan striker on a short-term contract.

Eddie Howe is adamant, though, saying: “I’d love to keep the squad together.” We don’t currently have the largest squad, so losing players would be quite challenging, therefore I don’t want to lose anyone.”

Estadio Deportivo reports that the Foxes are also considering a move for Juma Bah, a young defender for Real Valladolid, as part of their ongoing transfer ambitions.

Given that Van Nistelrooy earlier stated during his interview process that financial assurances were provided for a possible transfer strategy, it would seem that he has money available for reinforcements as the January window approaches.

“We had a conversation about that (transfers) in London before I signed,” he said. “We chatted about it, the winter window, and even towards the summer.

Additionally, we stated that there is no urgency to complete tasks. I concur. This month is a fantastic time to work and play together, and the team is now receiving chances to show their mettle.

“There’s time after that to make a good assessment, when I’ve seen the players with my own eyes, and we can make decisions in January.”
