‘He is a player’: BBC pundit lauds 49-touch Sunderland star after Norwich City comeback win

Following Sunderland’s 2-1 victory over Norwich City, BBC commentator Gary Bennett was once again full of praise for a certain Sunderland player.

 

On a day when all four of the Championship’s top teams triumphed, Sunderland’s 2-1 comeback victory over Norwich City left them in fourth place in the standings.

In the first half, Regis Le Bris’ team fell behind. After the interval, however, Jobe Bellingham scored the winning goal, and Dan Ballard headed home an equaliser.

The Real Madrid-affiliated midfielder is really stepping up this season, and Bellingham scored the game-winning goal against Swansea City in the last match.

In 19 Championship games so far this season, the 19-year-old has scored four goals and provided three assists for the Black Cats.

Bellingham is expected to move in January, though, as some of the best teams in Europe are considering the England U21 midfielder, who is now attracting a lot of interest.
