Hearts and Hibs’ rivals ‘weighing’ up January transfer swoop as striker attracts new interest

In January, both Hearts and Hibs have the opportunity to increase their numbers.

On Sunday afternoon, Hearts will return to Scottish Premiership action when they play St Johnstone at home. At the moment, they are seated at the bottom of the table.

Hibs moved up to eighth place in the standings on Saturday after defeating Aberdeen 3-1 on the road. Here are a few of the most recent stories…

Rangers are interested in a midfield player.

Walfoot claims that Rangers are “weighing up” a deal for Isaac Price, a midfielder for Standard Liege. In the forthcoming January transfer window, the 21-year-old is being linked to a move to Ibrox.

Price, a native of Yorkshire, progressed through Everton’s academy system and played regularly for the Toffees at several youth levels before making three appearances for their first squad. After relocating to Belgium in 2023, he has emerged as a vital member of his present team.

“I can’t wait to go over and get started,” he stated after opting to switch overseas. I’m hoping to get much better there and in another area of the game. It’s much more intricate.

He might be able to provide Rangers with extra midfield depth and competitiveness. Vaclav Cerny scored the game-winning goal as Philippe Clement’s team defeated Dundee 1-0 at home last time.

An international from Scotland is being eyed
Journalist Alan Nixon claims on his Patreon page that Burnley and Blackburn Rovers are interested in Scotland international Oli McBurnie. Since moving to La Liga, the 28-year-old, who presently plays with Las Palmas alongside Scott McKenna, has scored two goals in 15 appearances.

This season, Burnley and Blackburn are both aiming for promotion to the Premier League. Next month, they might consider adding McBurnie to their attacking lineups.

“I had one other Spanish club, but Las Palmas did a presentation saying what they needed, how they play, where I fit in, all about the island and the culture,” he stated in an interview with The Guardian. They made me feel really wanted, had film of me from years before, and had done their homework. I am aware that they did the same to Scott. Before signing, he flew out to take a look around, and we discussed it over dinner. I ought to enquire about my commission.

“We (him and McKenna) signed for three years and we intend to stay, don’t we?” the former Swansea City player continued. We’ll get Spanish, no matter what. A better tan, too. It’s a great location for my five-month-old daughter to grow up. She will speak Spanish, Welsh, and English. I was a little naive previously, believing that you would never need a foreign language, but this has helped me realise how important languages are. But you have half the world if you include Spanish. Living here is lovely, the weather is ideal, golfing is fantastic, and football isn’t too bad.
