Former Rangers chief lands new job and earns Saudi reunion with James Bisgrove

Creag Robertson appears to have reconnected with former Rangers chief executive James Bisgrove.

According to Robertson’s LinkedIn profile, he has taken on a new role following his stint as director of football operations at Ibrox. His current title is listed as “Head of Football Operations” at Al-Qadsiah Saudi Club, the same organization Bisgrove joined after leaving Glasgow in June.

Robertson departed Rangers at the end of May, shortly after Bisgrove’s exit, resigning from his position after 18 months in the role. His departure, as reported by the Rangers Review at the time, came following his promotion during a significant restructuring led by former chairman John Bennett in the summer of 2023.

Bisgrove served as Rangers’ chief executive for just one season before moving to Saudi Arabia, while Bennett stepped down from the board earlier this year due to health reasons.

Although there has been no official confirmation, Robertson’s LinkedIn update strongly suggests he has reunited with Bisgrove at Al-Qadsiah.
