Aaron Booth to return to the Gold Coast Titans NRLW in 2025

After being forced to retire early, he began coaching in 2023.

Prior to the 2025 season, a well-known figure at the Gold Coast Titans is returning to the team as an assistant coach for the NRLW squad.

Aaron Booth rejoins the team in a full-time role after a short break, contributing his extensive knowledge and ardent love for the game.

“It always feels like home here at the Titans,” Booth stated.

“The entire club was so supportive during my transition, giving me the chance to work with Murph and the NRLW program which was such a great experience.”

Booth has reinvented himself on his path from player to coach.

Booth had to retire sooner than expected in 2022 due to a catastrophic knee injury sustained while playing with the Titans.

Instead of giving up on the game completely, though, he accepted a fresh challenge and joined the Titans’ coaching staff in 2023.

Booth was instrumental in leading the Titans to their first-ever NRLW grand final in his first season as a coach.

Booth’s performances during that historic season were commended by Titans head coach Karyn Murphy.

“Boothy has such exceptional knowledge and passion for the game and it’s a pleasure to welcome him back and have him working with our squad again,” Murphy stated.

“He was a pivotal cog in helping us get to the grand final in 2023.”

Despite leaving the program in 2024, Booth’s comeback suggests a fresh emphasis on maximising the team’s potential.

“I’m excited to be back this year in a full-time capacity and do my part in continuing to grow our NRLW program and get the team ready for a big 2025,” he stated.

Helping the Titans achieve consistency, which he feels is essential to moving forward in their development, is one of Booth’s main objectives in his new position.

“Our group is young and full of potential,” Booth said.

“We’ve shown in the past that we can compete with the best teams in the competition but just have to find that consistency week-in, week-out; which is what we’ll be aiming to achieve this year.”

In addition to working closely with the NRLW team, Booth’s broader duties now include recruiting women and creating routes for future players in the area.
