As Rangers try to strengthen their roster during the January transfer window, Nils Koppen is looking everywhere.

While the Rangers director is working diligently to try to ship players out, the Belgian recruitment guru is busy approving deals to bring players into Ibrox.

The former PSV scout will now travel back to the Netherlands for a meeting that will be crucial to the destiny of a Croatian international winger who is on the move.

Rangers and Feyenoord will face.

Later today, Rangers will play Feyenoord of the Eredivisie, while Fabio Cannavaro anxiously awaits word on Croatian winger Luka Ivanusec.

The former Ballon d’Or winner and Italy icon is currently in charge of Croatian team Dinamo and is awaiting Feyenoord’s approval to sign the 26-year-old winger on loan.

Rangers, however, are crucial to the completion of any deal, and a meeting is supposedly planned for Monday, January 20, which should allow Ivanusec to return to Croatia.

Rangers and Feyenoord have not yet reached an agreement about the termination of Neraysho Kasanwirjo’s loan agreement, according to Croatian publication 24 Sata.

In a November friendly between the Netherlands and England, 22-year-old Kasanwirjo suffered a knee injury that tragically ended his season.

According to the source, Feyenoord will ultimately “withdraw” Nana from the loan agreement with Rangers during the meeting, freeing Luka Ivanusec to join Dinamo.

As previously reported, Feyenoord must make room if they want to approve Ivanusec’s departure because they are only permitted to loan six players to foreign teams annually under Dutch regulations.

24 Sata thinks Feyenoord’s meeting with Rangers today could finalise a deal to bring the Croatian international winger to Dinamo, since the specifics of the transfer have already been worked out.

Rangers focus on a defender from Portugal

Despite the defender’s horrific knee injury, Rangers are reportedly still interested in permanently signing Neraysho Kasanwirjo.

Before getting hurt at a critical point in the season, the adaptable Dutch defender, who can play across the backline, had shown promise.

In spite of this, Rangers have signed Portuguese defender Rafael Fernandes from Ligue 1 club Lille on a loan until the end of the current campaign.

Rangers will make a choice on the 22-year-old at the end of the season, although they do have the option to purchase him during the six-month loan period.
