Transfer Standoff! Rangers Set High Asking Price as Lille Eye Hamza Igamane Deal

Glasgow, June 28, 2025 – Rangers striker Hamza Igamane is attracting strong interest from Lille, but the French side faces a tough negotiation as the Scottish club holds firm on a £10 million-plus valuation.

Despite being signed for just £1.5 million last year, Rangers believe Igamane’s rapid development and future potential make him worth a hefty fee. Sources suggest no formal bid has yet been submitted, but Lille are preparing one – and they may need to dig deep to get their man.

💹 Huge Profit Potential

Football pundits agree that if Rangers can command more than £10 million, it would represent a fantastic return on their investment. Though Igamane is still refining aspects of his game, his market value has skyrocketed in just a single season.

“If Rangers get anything over £10 million, they must take it. It’s tough for fans, but that’s the modern model,” said Scott McDermott.

“Anything north of £15 million would be outstanding. He’s got talent but still rough edges,” added Andy Newport.

🧠 Business Model in Motion

The potential sale is part of Rangers’ evolving player trading strategy, in which the club develops young talent and sells at peak value to reinvest in the squad. It’s a system embraced across Europe and now more visible at Ibrox than ever before.

🕓 Lille Waiting, Rangers Firm

Although Lille remain keen, they are expected to be cautious in their first bid given Rangers’ valuation. The Scottish club, however, is not prepared to negotiate below its asking price, especially with Igamane’s star continuing to rise.
